This complete renovation of a hillside home in Orinda, California, reorganizes the existing interior to take greater advantage of its dramatic setting and expansive views.

Existing walls and partitions were selectively removed to create a more open sequence of living spaces, while enlarged openings strengthen visual connections between rooms and bring additional natural light into the interior. The reconfigured plan allows views to extend through the house rather than being confined to individual rooms.
